I've already blown about $40 on Rufusporn doujinshi and got accused for being able to survive an exploding building and killing people. For some reason, all the pictures I've been requested for are always with someone pressed up against me. I am amazed I am still living in all this heat despite the layers I'm wearing.

WHAT ELSE. Con is a bit slow, but should pick up by Saturday. Managed to make some sales; buttons and bookmarks are doing pretty well. Invaded most of the yaoi booths at the dealers' room and one of the seller guys kept yelling out things like "THEY'RE HOTTER THAN YOUR BOYFRIEND - SO HOT THAT THEY KEEP POPPING OUT OF THEIR PANTS - COME FOR THE MANCEST." l;jfsa everyone is so happy. The one Jack Sparrow cosplayer is in our hotel eeeeee. Haven't been attacked by any FF crew yet but I did give The Look to some Cloud cosplayers - which probably isn't the best idea when I'm dressed up ahaha. Walking down the street with bandages all over my head brings odd looks my way.

I'm just typing from what I can remember; Karin and I had to get up at 2 am yesterday so we've only had about 9 hours of sleep in the past two days. Virgin America planes are like a fucking rave; the lights are purple and blue inside whut. Kura is AMAAAAZZZZIIIING for driving us through LA traffic. I love you darling! Managed to get Gogo into Disneyland when the sun was setting, so we hit Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, and Splash Mountain. I'm terribly afraid of any ride with any big drops and thought I was gonna diiiiieee on Splash Mountain. The most I could probably do again is Indiana Jones. HARRISON FORD. ♥

It didn't take four hours just to get badges and tables this year, thank god. A lot of people came to the table who were there last year, so it's nice to see them again~ Pictures will come tomorrow; I didn't take much today and it was too dark in the Alley to get a good picture of me in my cosplay. Got ID'd at the Yaoi-con table when I tried to get my Rufusporn and I had to run up all the way back to the Alley to get my ID. The lady said that she would probably see me back tomorrow and she's probably right. ;_; SETINE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME.

I have been very BLARGH all day because I DROPPED MY MOCHA ON THE STREET AND ALL OVER MY FOOT. ;______________________; I ONLY HAD HALF OF IT, WRY. Stupid car shocked me when I was getting out for my haircut ;kljfds'lkjsdfa must make sure to be more careful around it when getting my coffee fix. But I got another one later on so.

B-but yeah, I got my haircut today. I haven't had it this short since I was four, and I think that haircut was still a bit longer. I actually like it, though! I've always had hair past my shoulders for yeeeeaaars ('cause I hated my short cut when I was four so I grew it out to my lower back). Then I had it cut mid-back before I went to Japan and now this all just for stupid Rufus SETINE I STILL WANT A DIVORCE. Getting it temp dyed on Tuesday night, oh my god I don't think I can handle being blonde for a week. It's weird enough 'cause I can feel breezes on the back of my neck. AAHHH.

Got everything ready for AX - everything is cut and put together and I've got a sexy binder in the entire package. *I have been doing nothing but epic spider battles all week. Had Dad kill two a couple days ago, had Mom kill one yesterday, had one hiding under some papers and another crawl on my hand while I was coloring today, but what really takes the cake is the ICKY TAN-COLORED GROSS ONE WITH THE TINY HEAD AND GIANT ASS yesterday in the bathroom. I got a marble soapdish to squish it, but I dropped it at an angle and ;klfjdsas all this clear juice splurted out onto the floor. I am so raising hell a-after I stop being dizzy from having seen that.

Oh my god I finished my prints and my buttons and magnets came yesterday. I am making so little that I am praaaying I have enough to meet demand, but fds;lksa I am so done with this. Bottom link is to my Axel/Roxas print for this year!

And then Saturday I am getting my hair cut shorter than I've ever had it. I've got the right clothes for Rufus, the bandages, and the hair dye, now just to chop off the locks. It is going to feel so weird. ;_;

A little thing on fandomsecrets today has got me thinking about the influence of all things Disney and just how determined some people are to bring it down even though Walt Disney's been gone for many decades now. Parents who refuse to let their kids watch Disney movies remind me of parents who refuse to let their kids watch anything that has dinosaurs in it because they don't believe they ever existed. Sure, their interpretations of fairy tales are rarely from the mostly-accepted version, but I have to argue back that there are hundreds, if not thousands of different versions of one single tale depending what culture you're looking in. To me, Disney making their special version is no different from that - save for the much larger audience, of course. And, of course, there's the novel adaptations, but they're not the only ones guilty of this - so few people know that Shrek was actually a children's book that I had and read constantly, but the Dreamworks version is very different. And yet, I love both versions, and for any movie that's based off another source, I usually go out to find the original source because I'm curious as to where the inspiration came from. Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame started my fascination with Notre Dame herself and French culture.

So all this BLAH BLAH BLAH is all for this - what are your guys' thoughts on this? Do you find it bad on how people immediately think of the Disney movie when referring to a story? Are people taking this influence too seriously? Is it a good thing or bad thing that there is always a happy ending?

Most the Kingdom Hearts and Death Note stuff is done, but aaaahhh I need to finish my buttons by the end of this week. HOW IS AX ALREADY ONLY A MONTH AWAY? Mom's been finding some animation/film jobs around the area that pay a pretty penny; I want to know how she finds out about all these openings at Pixar and Lucasfilm, dammit. I might hitch it back to LA a couple weeks after AX if she can score me an informational interview at Disney. I finally finished my Walt Disney biography and marked the thing up like there's no tomorrow, then threatened Mom to not touch all my organized tabs in there. And uuuh played in a concert and uuuh I'll have absolutely nothing to do from like mid-July to September other than go kdslfja;slkh at how old I'm getting.

My shuttle had to make two trips; the original hotel was all booked, so we had to get back on and go to another one. Epic cues + traffic and it's 11 pm and I like, just got here. My new flight is at SEVEN IN THE FUCKING MORNING PLEASE STARBUCKS BE OPEN meaning I have to up at five, uuuuuugh. It's actually a good thing I have it early; I need to be back home around noon for Important Errands.

Hey guys, just updating to say that I'm still in Edinburgh and have been for the paaast. Five hours? Lolol epic flight delay. There's a computer problem with the plane and they've been trying to fix it since 1, and if they can't do anything, I might end up spending the night in Edinburgh and leave tomorrow. I'm very tired from about two hours of sleep; I didn't get all my stuff moved into Cara's flat until about midnight, and I decided it would be a bad idea to go dancing, so I had Graham come over and help me with my laundry and suitcase packing. No sign of Cara, though I do know she's in Edinburgh somewhere. I spent the night alone and woke up a litte bit before Kendra came back, who didn't get back from her boyfriend's house until 7 in the morning, what. Took the train, blah blah blah, the ladies next to me reeked of cigarettes, tiiiired, 14 minutes left on the counter ldkf;a;klj. I absolutely have to be back by Friday night, but we'll see. I'll let you guys know if I end up spending the night here.

Not really. XD My flight doesn't leave until 12:30, which means I don't have to be up until about 7. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY TO GET UP AT 7. Cara needs to be in Edinburgh about the same time as me, so we're gonna take the train down in the morning. I'll be spending my first night in the flat, so I won't be online until I get back to Cali. BEHAVE WHILE I'M TRAVELING, PEOPLE.

Thank god for people with cars; the flat is like, a five minute walk away from my dorm, but I have sooooo much shit to carry along. It'll probably take a couple trips; British cars are so tiny and I doubt they can manage my heavy American suitcases. I finally have keys and took out some of Jay's stuff from my room, which I need to stuff in the closet. Finnish boys have shiny boxers. Cupboards need to be wiped, floor needs to be vacuumed, sheets need to be washed, lkds;jfs;lkj AND I'M GOING DANCING TONIGHT AHAHA. Graham and I tried to go yesterday but the bloody dance floor was closed, and this is the last chance I'll get for another three months ds;lkjas. So long as I'm in bed by 3, I'll be fine.

Major tensions are going on between Cara and Kendra, so it's likely that Kendra won't be there when I get back. WHAT A TRAGEDY RLY. Cara told me she was smoking weed in the kitchen again, even though she's been warned plenty of times, and if I catch her doing it, I'd throw a fucking fit and raising hell on the spot. Cara's looking for other people to replace her.

OH YEAH. I've eaten at an American diner here yesterday and today (which Kendra happens to work at). XD I went with Eilidh yesterday and highly approved; the menu is accurate (save for the waffles in the dessert section, ftw?) We brought Graham and Cara there today and I had the jukebox play California Girls. Neither of them had ever seen a banana split in real life, so I ordered that for us and they kept tipping the thing over. BUT I HAVE CULTURED THEM. They said they felt fat afterwards MY WORK IS DONE~

I finally had one of those "naked at school dreams." I dreamt gloaming came over to my dorm room to stay for a couple days and we stayed up so late talking that I was too delirious to remember to get dressed the next morning. I ended up in the dance floor in the Union, waking up from passing out or something, and ran over to find the teachers so they could give me some clothes. Finally, Phoenix Wright came over and handed me his dress shirt, then after some persuading, he managed to get Edgeworth to give me his jacket.

OKAY, finally got word back from Cara. I blabbered off on the phone like a total dork going "JAY, MY ROOM, KEYS DDD:" but I think mostly everything's cleared up now. Apparently Cara came by yesterday here to give me the keys (god, I must have been out like a light if I didn't hear her knocking, going to bed at 5 am every night is baaaad), and she said she put them in an envelope and put them under my door. AND THERE IS NO ENVELOPE HERE. A couple of my flatmates were talking to her at the time, but they claim they know nothing of this envelope or of my keys. REALLY FUNNY GUYS. I might just have to get Cara to make new ones if I don't find them by tomorrow.

I then told her about Jay stealing my cupboard of a room, and she called Kendra about it, who apparently was the one that gave him keys to the place because she didn't know if anyone else was moving in. AHAHAHAHA KENDRA YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKING RIOT I KIND OF WANT TO TAKE A BITE OUT OF THAT BRAIN OF YOURS LAWL. ♥ ♥ ♥ Seriously, were you high at the time I met you, because the first thing I sad was "I'M THE GIRL MOVING IN UPSTAIRS." It was funny, though; his girlfriend came by yesterday, which you could tell from the INCREDIBLY HARD-CORE hickeys she left on Graham's neck. Some of you may remember my plan to go to Paris with Cara, but she's disappeared off the face of the earth again and her phone isn't ringing, so I suspect she's had to jump to another country for a while. I'm going to try to get the keys from her dad's workplace tomorrow, and if they're not there, then I know for sure that Jay took mine. Cara not being here isn't a problem; it's the lack of access into the flat that's a problem. I need to move my shit in by Wednesday, 'cause I'm leaving Scotland for a good THREE MONTHS on Thursday. I do have a back-up plan, fortunately - Eilidh's offered to take my stuff to her house if I can't get my keys soon, ilu Eiliiiidh. Things will fix themselves out.

Aaaand nothing else happening. Been spending a lot of time with Graham; he forced me to get out of my pajamas at 9 pm last night and we walked over to Tesco where I lectured him about his Five-A-Day.
